Kate Middleton -- Duchess Kate to a breathless celebrity press, and the Duchess of Cambridge to the veddy proper set -- has named the charities she will lend her official support to. They rather follow the example set by her would-have-been mother-in-law, Princess Diana, according to Today.com.

Her trend is toward charities that help children. Favored are the Beaver Scouts and Cub Scouts in North Wales, where she and her husband, Prince William, live when he isn't off somewhere with the Royal Air Force.

Her duties will include leading games, teaching first aid, and helping to cook stuff on the campfire.

She is also a patron of the Children's Hospices and The Art Room in East Anglia, according to the report. Duchess Kate is also keen on the National Portrait Gallery, the Action on Addiction anti-drug organization, and helping get rid of landmines.

"The duchess has an incredibly busy life, which makes it all the more inspiring that she has chosen to volunteer alongside us," said chief scout Bear Grylls in a news release.

Grylls, best known as the bug-eating guy on the "Man vs. Wild" television show, was named the U.K.'s youngest-ever chief scout at the age of 35.
