Callista Gingrich's Hair: Explaining the Unexplainable

Jan. 26, 2011

Broos Campbell, Staff Writer

Callista Gingrich's hair is not a plastic helmet, and no, it's not painted on her head, no matter what it looks like. Callista's hair "is platinum blond and very stiff, with one remarkable lock styled into an immobile, upward swoosh," as Ariel Levy puts it in The New Yorker.

And as Reid Fleming, the world's toughest milkman used to say, she gets her hair cut that way. On purpose!

The Inquisitr tells us how.

It's kinda complicated -- and we thought it was just hair -- but it comes down to this: $400 and the Andre Chreky salon in Washington, D.C. "The New Yorker," offers the Inquisitr, "says she gets it down at the Sugar House in Virginia."

Doing the math for us, the Inquisitr says it comes out to about three grand a year to maintain that look.

We could do it for, um ... well, actually, we don't know how much silicone gel costs in those quantities, but we do know it keeps things nice and soft and droopy, safe from shocks and atmospheric contaminants.

Could come handy when the mud starts flying in earnest. Just sayin'.

I like how the Obamas spend tons of money on stupid stuff and no one even talkas about it. They are selling hteir used car for 1 million. Obama has golfed over 30 times in 3 years while everyone else can hardly afford to pay their bills. Taxpayers pay for their travel but they can't ride ont he same plane even if traveling 4 hours apart.

You have got to kidding me!!!! With all the important things facing this nation you are dishing her hair. GET A LIFE. If this is all that is on your mind I feel sorry for you. I worry about my family, my job, if the economy will ever return to what it was before all this happened, is it going to get any worse. You are worried about someones hair. I am too classy a person to say what I really think of you and this subject. GROW UP.
