The annual Stockton HIREvent, a job fair that draws hundreds of people seeking work and career opportunities, is scheduled for next Tuesday at University Plaza Waterfront Hotel, 110 W. Fremont St. Admission is free to the event, scheduled for noon-4 p.m.
Kathy Masera, president and founder of the California Job Journal, which produces the HIREvent job fairs, said Monday that she expects about 15 employers looking to fill about 600 jobs at the event.
About half of the openings are temporary seasonal jobs, but there are many other opportunities as well.
As well as meeting job recruiters, attendees can receive free, on-the-spot advice on improving their resumes.
For more information, visit JobJournal.com online or call toll-free (888) THEJOBS. A list of job opportunities available at the event will be posted on the website after Friday.
