Fill Up That Coffee Cup: The 15 Most Coffee-Dependent Jobs

According to a new study, rolled out in advance of National Coffee Day, scientists are the folks most in need of a cup of coffee, followed by marketing/PR pros, education administrators, and editors/writers. The survey, conducted by Harris Interactive on behalf of Dunkin' Donuts and CareerBuilder, arrived at a list of the top 15 professions in need of coffee consumption, and helped define the role coffee plays in helping professionals stay productive at work.

The full list, in order of coffee necessity, is:
(1) Scientist/Lab Technician
(2) Marketing/Public Relations Professional
(3) Education Administrator
(4) Editor/Writer
(5) Healthcare Administrator
(6) Physician
(7) Food Preparer
(8) Professor
(9) Social Worker
(10) Financial Professional
(11) Personal Caretaker
(12) Human Resources Benefits Coordinator
(13) Nurse
(14) Government Professional
(15) Skilled Tradesperson (plumber, carpenter, etc.)

The survey was conducted online among 4,721 U.S. workers ages 18 and over between Aug. 16 and Sept. 8, 2011.
