The 2011 National Council of La Raza (NCLR) ALMA Awards airs tonight on NBC from 8 to 9 p.m. EDT. This year's award show will be co-hosted by Eva Longoria and George Lopez. The ALMA awards honor the accomplishments of Hispanics in the entertainment industry--music, television and film.
Presenters include Jessica Alba, Maria Celeste Arraras, Jake T. Austin, Benjamin Bratt, Maria Canals-Barrera, Cote De Pablo, David Henrie, Eva La Rue, Mario Lopez, Oscar Nuñez, Michael Peña, Aubrey Plaza and Naya Rivera.
And there will be a special performance by teen pop star Demi Lovato who will perform her hit single "Skyscraper" in English and Spanish.
The show was named "ALMA" (Spanish for "spirit"), which represents the "determined spirit of the Latino people in an effort to reflect the spirit as well as the scope of the awards program," according to the ALMA website.
