Kings of Leon Confirm US Tour Dates

April 24, 2011

Nicole Keiper

Kings of Leon have a busy summer and fall of globetrotting ahead of them, and their itinerary includes a run of dates here in the States, kicking off in Alabama on July 25 and running through a Seattle show on September 12.

Sorry, hometown fans: The band hasn't announced a Nashville date, though there are a few shows within reasonable driving distance, including an Atlanta stop on July 27 and one in Cincinnati on August 24.

The four Followills have some European dates on the docket too, and some of their U.K. shows will feature a double-dose of Nashville, as rising local rock outfit Mona is set to open.

The return to full throttle follows a little bit of downtime for the notoriously busy Kings -- they had to slow down a bit to allow drummer Nathan Followill to heal following surgery for a torn right labrum and bicep. They've performed a number of times since Nathan's return to active duty -- one of those performances was here in Middle Tennessee in front of an intimate audience for a VH1 Storytellers taping. (Kings of Leon's Storytellers episode is scheduled to air on May 13.)
