Kara DioGuardi, former American Idol judge, is being sued by Joel Postorino for $250,o00.
He claims he suffered a serious neck injury when a BMW, driven by Christina Kline, DioGuardi's former employee, hit the back of his car in May 2010.
Karen Dioguardi's rep said the only way she is involved in this suit is because she had co-signed the car to help Kline.
The rep stated to TMZ, "When Ms. Kline left Kara's company in November 2009, she was asked to remove Kara's name from the registration, but never did."
DioGuardi had no knowledge of the accident until she was served the papers.
The case goes to court in July.
