The Trevor Project, a national organization focused on crisis and suicide prevention efforts among LGBTQ youth, is becoming known worldwide thanks to "American Idol" winner Adam Lambert.
Lambert has announced he will give proceeds from sales of his new single "Afertmath" remix to the organization.
With more and more bullying and suicides occuring from the taunting, the Trevor Project is a wonderful place that confused or scared young people can turn to when no one else will listen.
The Trevor Project Lifeline is (866).4.U.TREVOR.
The Trevor Project was founded by writer James Lecesne, director-producer Peggy Rajski and producer Randy Stone, creators of the 1994 Academy Award-winning short film "Trevor," a comedy/drama about a gay 13-year-old boy who, when rejected by friends because of his sexuality, makes an attempt to take his life, according to the website.
The chorus: "Anytime anybody pulls you down/ Anytime anybody says you're not allowed/ Just remember you are not alone/ In the aftermath."
