Eva Longoria is opening up about her divorce in the April issue of "Allure" magazine.

In the interview Longoria says talking about the breakup makes her "want to cry" but she's trying to make the transition "as gracefully as possible," reports the Associated Press.

The "Desperate Housewives" star filed for divorce from basketball player Tony Parker last November, citing irreconcilable differences.

Longoria, who turned 36 on Tuesday, married the San Antonio Spurs player in July 2007.

No longer a basketball wife, Longoria is looking to "find new patterns" to fill up her free time. While married, Eva Logoria was a regular staple at Spurs games.

Longoria explains it is the women in her life that have helped her through the most difficult times, particularly "amazing, smart, interesting women."

The April issue of "Allure" magazine hits the stands on March 22.
