I never realized 5 seasons was considered "short lived". Also, the show is still on the air. It was just renamed Kate Plus 8 after Jon left the show.

Good for him.
I take issue with Yahoo's use of the language "gainful employment." It is judgmental, catty, disrespectful of his children, low, not at all journalistic (i have to consider the source, of course), targeted, unfair, sophomoric, childish, uncalled for, unreasonable in a civilized society, ridiculous.

Jon may have made some mistakes but his were just brought to our attention more becuase he was in the public eye however if we remember he gave up most of his career for his children . Can we say the same about Kate? The show portrayed her as being this tyrant and Jon just followed her around and did her bidding like some poor shlub. I think the whole situation is very sad for Jon for Kate and the children. Perhaps though Jon will learn a great lesson from all of this and at least will walk away with a more grounded prospective. After all Reality Bites!
