Did you go to a Taylor Swift, Shakira, Justin Bieber or NKOTBSB concert in the past few years? Chances are you purchased your tickets through Ticketmaster.

The ticket agency may be forced to refund some money from purchases made from the Ticketmaster website between Oct. 21, 1999 and Oct. 19, 2011, according to documents regarding the case--Curt Schlesinger et al. v. Ticketmaster. Ticket buyers are automatically a class member if made transactions during this period.

Two Ticketmaster customers filed a class action lawsuit claiming that Ticketmaster's Order Processing Fees and UPS Expedited Delivery Prices of tickets are excessive and deceptive. Ticketmaster disputes each of Plaintiffs' claims, reads the court document overview.

If the settlement is approved concertgoers can receive anywhere from $1.50 to $25.50 as part of a settlement in a class action suit, according to the Consumerist.com.

So what does a music fan need to do to get in on this action? First of all you need to be a U.S. resident, purchased tickets between the class period date and not have "opted" out of this "class" previously.

Ticket buyers will automatically receive Ticketmaster Credits, according to the court documents:

"You will receive, via email, at the address associated with your Ticketmaster account, discount codes ('Codes') which can be used for future purchases for U.S. events from Ticketmaster's website. For each transaction (up to a maximum of 17 transactions) that you made during the Class Period, you will receive one code, via email, for a $1.50 discount off future transactions. Certain details apply which are described in the Notice which is posted on www.ticketfeelitigation.com.

The court will decide whether to approve the settlement at a final approval hearing on May 29, 2012, at 8:30 a.m., Department 64 of the Superior Court of the State of California for the County of Los Angeles, 111 North Hill Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012.
