The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) announced today that Los Angeles has been selected as the host city for the group's 33rd annual National Convention & Business Expo. The three-day convention is slated to take place Sept. 16-18, at the JW Marriott L.A. Live Hotel. The accompanying Business Expo will take place at the nearby Los Angeles Convention Center.

"I am delighted that the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has decided to come to Los Angeles in September 2012 for its national convention," says Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. "This high-profile networking opportunity will bring together 5,000 Hispanic business owners, chamber leaders and public officials, boosting LA's local economy and fostering job creation across the country."

Known as the largest gathering of Hispanic business leaders in America, the USHCC convention attracts business associations, entrepreneurs, corporate executives, chamber leaders and members, Hispanic business enterprises, and policymakers from across the United States, according to the news release announcing the selection

"Los Angeles stood out in the 2012 National Convention host city selection process not only because of its industry diversity, but also because of the high concentration of Hispanic Business Enterprises (HBEs), entrepreneurs, Hispanic chambers of commerce and leading corporations whose diversity efforts can have a major impact on the American business landscape," says USHCC President and CEO, Javier Palomarez.
