"Breaking Dawn: Part 1" is everything a Twihard expects and avid readers of the series won't be disappointed.
The movie begins with the Cullens and the Swans preparing for Bella and Edward's big day. All the sneak peeks of the wedding were nothing compared to the actual scenes that comprise the gorgeous outdoor wedding.
But before we see a Cullen or Bella and her family, the opening scene shows Jacob (Taylor Lautner) becoming enraged after he finds out about their decision to wed. And if you were at a midnight showing like this reviewer, the first site of Jacob caused screams and cheers.
And the same went for Bella and Edward, played by real-life couple Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.
The movie starts mellow and gives a chance for fans to get reacquainted with their favorite vampires, wolves and humans of Forks.
Then we get a glimpse of Rio de Janiero, where Bella and Edward spend their first nights as husband and wife.
Their suite -- on a private island called Isle Esme off the coast of Brazil -- is where Edward impregnates Bella ... with what many begin to call a demon, a fetus or "it."
After Bella becomes sick, a native of Brazil confirms she is pregnant and Edward becomes upset. And wants to get rid of it. Knowing that it will create harm for Bella. But Bella believes her pregnancy is a miracle and calls Rosalie because she knows she will help protect the baby. As a human, that was one thing Rosalie wanted most.
Fast-forward to Stewart being pregnant. The actress is transformed into a gaunt, sickly, corpse-like patient, struggling in agony as she carries a baby that craves blood.
She begins to sip blood out of a straw to keep the baby alive. There is a touching scen when Edward can hear the baby's thoughts and tells Bella that it loves to hear their voices. Edward's mind regarding his unborn child begins to shift and he apologizes to Bella for making her deal with this "on her own."
Because of Jacob's loyalty to Bella, the wolf pack separates and Leah and Seth (brother and sister) begin to follow Jacob, who chose to leave when Sam said he would attack Bella and the Cullens. Seth follows Jacob because he idolizes him and because he has become fond of the Cullens and Bella. Leah joins Jacob's pack with the intention of breaking free of Sam, since she is still heartbroken taht he has chosen another.
After struggling with the notion of her keeping the baby, Jacob helps Bella get through the pregancy and even the birth -- only Edward and Jacob are at her side when the baby is finally cut from her stomach.
Flirting with different names for the baby, we find out that Renesmee it is. EJ (Edward0Jacob if it was a boy). She is here. And moviegoers see the moment Jacob imprints on the newborn. Gasps heard everywhere. We see scenes of an older Renesmee running around in a field while Jacob explains an imprint and how you can't control who it happens to or when it happens.
Rosalie takes the baby while Jacob and Edward try and revive Bella. But nothing is happening. We see a lifeless Bella and begins biting her at various body parts to try and change her into a vampire.
A distraught Jacob tells Edward that her death is his all his fault and that he will not kill him and instead make him live a life without her.
Then, finally, Bella's blood-shot red eyes open -- a short and telling closer that lets fans anticipate what is to come in part II.
