eBay Profit Climbs 14%

eBay reported a 14 percent rise in third quarter profit Wednesday as revenues jumped by 32 percent.

The online retailer earned $491 million, compared to $432 million a year earlier, while revenues reached $3 billion compared to $2.25 billion last year thanks to growth in its online marketplace and its online payment system Paypal.
