Natalie Portman is creating Oscar buzz for her role in her new film, "Black Swan," which is being release at this year's Venice Film Festival.
Portman's character in the film is a troubled New York City ballerina driven to perfection by an obsessive personality. Early screenings of the film had audiences buzzing that it could deliver Portman to the next level of acting excellence.
Portman, an Israeli-born American actress, made her debut in 1994 in the French action film, "Leon." She has starred in such films as "V for Vendetta" and "The Other Boleyn Girl."
