Meghan McCain, daughter of Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., aired dirty laundry Tuesday regarding the presidential campain of her father and the role of Sarah Palin, his running mate.
In an interview on Good Morning America, McCain said Palin brought, "drama, stress, complications, panic and lots of uncertainty" to the failed Republican ticket during the 2008 campaign.
She stopped short, however, of blaming the loss of the campaign on Palin, crediting the former Alaska governor with injecting the campaign with "momentum and enthusiasm."
McCain said she is speaking out now because she has conflicting feelings about Palin and her contributions to her father's campaign and to the Republican party.
McCain writes about the campaign in detail in her new book, "Dirty Sexy Politics," which is being billed as an unabashed, unfiltered look at the 2008 campaign and the state of U.S. politics.
