The singer and actress Jessica Simpson was among the stars to grace the White House Correspondents Dinner Sunday in New York City.
The curvy 29-year-old, who often takes flak for her weight fluctuations, told US Magazine that she is taking a laid-back approach to dieting.
"Work out whenever you want to," she said. "Just take care of yourself. I think when we're in love, when we have love in our life, that's when we look beautiful."
Also at the party was Gabourey Sidibe, the overweight star of "Precious," whom Simpson defended after Howard Stern called her an "enormous, fat black chick."
