Alex Rodriguez, who is on track to become baseball's all-time home run king, will meet with federal prosecutors on Friday to discuss one of his previous doctors, Dr. Anthony Galea, the New York Times reported today.
Authorities are investigating Galea, who treated Rodriguez in 2009, and prescribed him anti-inflammatories, but not steroids or human growth hormone.
Galea is the former team doctor for the Canadian Football League's Toronto Argonauts. Galea was arrested last October.
Rodriguez is not the focus of the investigation. Galea has been charged by Canadian authorities for selling the Actovegin, among other allegations.
