Coldplay and Bryan Adams may be too cool for (high) school, but Lady Gaga is a pretty solid consolation prize. According to published reports, the 23-year old diva is set to cameo on the second season of FOX's hit TV show about the hard knock lives of Glee Club-geeks. She will be playing herself - or as much of her self as the public ever gets a peek at (see: that Kermit outfit, those scandalous music videos, all that business with Beyonce.)

Glee's creator Ryan Murphy said, "We reached out to Lady GaGa and she said, 'Yes, I'd love to be a part of it.' So we will be doing Lady GaGa this season."

Neil Patrick Harris and Jennifer Lopez are also set to guest star.

The show features frequent celebrity guest appearances, last season featuring the likes of Josh Groban, Eve, and Kristen Chenoweth. Murphy further revealed he's hoping Justin Timberlake and Hugh Jackman will come on board.

Madonna also gave permission for ten of her tracks to be featured on the show, which begs the question: which episode will be more absurd, dramatic, and generally fabulous? The one featuring a tribute to the original blonde chameleon, or a cameo by her 2k10 successor?
