A day after pleading not guilty to domestic violence charges, actor Charlie Sheen returned Tuesday to the Burbank set of the sitcom "Two and a Half Men," following a brief voluntary stint in rehab.
The 44-year-old Hispanic actor, whose birth name is Carlos Irwin Estevez, son of Martin Sheen and brother of Emilio Estevez, checked into rehab last month.
On Christmas Day, Sheen's wife, Brooke Mueller, called 911 following a dispute in Aspen. He was arrested on charges of misdemeanor domestic violence.
His courtroom move is a gamble, given how it was widely thought he was planning to cut a deal with prosecutors. But Sheen's publicist today told the AP the actor is eager to clear his name. He faces up to three years in prison if convicted.
Meanwhile, RadarOnline has reported that Sheen may try to attack the credibility of an arresting officer.
In early February, Sheen and Mueller embraced after a court session. The couple had twin boys almost exactly a year ago. Bob and Max turned 1 on Sunday.
