Alex Rodriguez may meet with authorities to discuss a Canadian doctor who is accused of distributing human growth hormone to major league baseball players.
Federal prosecutors are interested in talking to Rodriguez about Dr. Anthony Galea.
Galea told the AP he treated Rodriguez in 2009 and prescribed anti-inflammatories but did not prescribe human growth hormone to Rodriguez or other major league players.
Galea is the former team doctor for the Canadian Football League's Toronto Argonauts. Galea was arrested last October.
Rodriguez, who is on track to break the all-time home run record, is not the subject of the investigation, and is hoping to complete the interview before the season starts.
