A day after Charlie Sheen was charged with a felony for an alleged Christmas day assault on his wife, Sheen's SUV was stolen and crashed off a cliff in Los Angeles.
The controversial "Two and a Half Men" wasn't aboard in Friday's early morning crash.
The 44-year-old Hispanic actor, whose birth name is Carlos Irwin Estevez, son of Martin Sheen and brother of Emilio Estevez, was asleep at home when thieves apparently took the Mercedes SUV from his driveway of his Mulholland Estates home before dawn.
Sheen, known for his troubles with the law and drug and alcohol abuse, spoke flippantly about the incident with The Insider this morning.
"It was nice to have police come to my house and for once I didn't have to leave with them," he said.
