Sandra Bullock may have finally arrived. Bullock, a journeywoman actress who has starred in hits such as "Speed," "28 Days," and Ms. Congeniality," was nominated for an Academy Award in the Best Actress Category.
Bullock has momentum going into the big ceremony. She won the Golden Globe for her role as Leigh Anne Tuohy in The Blind Side in a ceremony two weeks ago.
Critics have praised Bullock's performance in the movie and like Beyonce going into the Grammy Awards ceremony, Bullock appears to be the favorite to win the award. Her biggest challenge will be iconic actress Meryl Streep, who is nominated for playing Julia Child in the movie Julie & Julia.
