Tiger Woods announced today that he will break the silence on his infidelity issues on Friday, but it remains to be seen whether he will soon resume playing in the PGA tour.
Meanwhile, Woods is reportedly back from a stint at a sex rehab clinic in Mississippi, and was spotted and photographed jogging near his home in Orlando for the first time since the saga exploded in November. Woods has been MIA since Nov. 27, when his Cadillac Escalade crashed into a fire hydrant. Media reports said his wife, Elin Nordegren, used a golf club to smash out a window.
What followed was a tidal wave of scandalous news, with one mistress after another coming forward to discuss her sexual exploits with Woods.
At 11 a.m. EST Friday, Woods will make his announcement from PGA headquarters at TPC Sawgrass Clubhouse in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. He is expected to announce that he will return to playing, but only time will tell.
Woods' public affairs handlers also released a message on his Web site today.
"While Tiger feels that what happened is fundamentally a matter between him and his wife, he also recognizes that he has hurt and let down a lot of other people who were close to him," the statement said. "He also let down his fans. He wants to begin the process of making amends, and that's what he's going to discuss."
