The Top 20 Texas companies in the 2010 Hispanic Business 500 Ranking produced revenues of $3.78 billion and employed 18,778 people in 2009. While the revenue figure was down slightly from the $3.91 billion generated in 2008, the employee figure was up from the 17,015 people employed by the Texas top 20 in 2008.
International Bancshares Corp. once again heads the list, with 2009 revenues of $728.39 million. Only eight of the twenty companies saw their revenues increase from 2008-2009, led by Link America Inc., based in Rowlett, which saw revenues jump an impressive 228.2%, from $12.4 million in 2008 to $40.7 million in 2009.
