The war of words between Bill O'Reilly and two hosts of 'The View' continued Friday, as the parties expressed their opinions in the wake of the war of words between O'Reilly, Whoopie Goldberg and Joy Behar.
Things were going smoothly on 'The View' until the subject came up of a proposed Islamic Community Center several blocks away from the terrorist attack on New York's Twin Towers.
When pressed on why it is inappropriate to build the center, O'Reilly leaned close to Goldberg and said it was because "Muslims killed us on 9/11."
Goldberg responded with "This is such bull@#!@!" and the fight was on, with both Goldberg and Behar walking off the stage, only to return later, after O'Reilly apologized if he gave the impression he was condemning all Muslims.
On his show Friday, O'Reilly told his audience that Goldberg was "yapping so I had to get her attention. I am often offensive, I think everyone knows that."
Behar, for her part, explained her actions on her show Friday by saying that "I thought he was saying something that I construe as hate speech, frankly." She was joined on her program by former Minnesota Jesse Ventura, who called O'Reilly a "spineless puke."
