After enduring years of painful rumors about her husband's philandering -- most of which turned out to be true -- cancer-stricken Elizabeth Edwards, 60, has finally decided to call it quits with wayward John.
"She said, 'I've had it. I can't do this. I want my life back,'" her sister, Nancy Anania, told People Magazine in its Feb. 8 issue. "She's got cancer and has young children and totally believes in marriage, but she can only do so
much."
The announcement comes on the heels of Edwards' tardy admission that the 56-year-old is indeed the father of a child born in 2008 to his former mistress, Rielle Hunter, a videographer who followed his every move while stumping for the Democratic presidential nomination.
It also comes as the new book "The Politician," by Andrew Young, reportedly reveals the existence of a sex tape starring John Edwards and Hunter, USA Today reports.
