California's Top 20 Hispanic-Owned Companies

The Hispanic Business 500 has served as a barometer of the U.S. Hispanic economy for more than 25 years. We believe that applying our criteria on a statewide level can yield interesting results for our readers. Here, we take a closer look at the HB 500 companies in California.

The Top 20 California companies in the 2009 Hispanic Business 500 Ranking produced revenues of $5.00 billion in 2008, up from $4.55 billion in 2007. However, they employed only 10,486 people, down from the 12,191 people employed in 2007.

Tops in California, and No. 2 overall on the list for the second straight year, is Molina Healthcare, based in Long Beach.
