A passenger jet making an emergency landing in Mashhad skidded of the runway and crashed into a wall Friday, killing 17 passengers, in the second disastrous plane crash Iran has seen in 10 days.
The Russian-made plane from Tehran carried about 160 passengers, the LA Times reported.
Aria Airlines Flight 1525 was an Ilyushin Il-62M, and had experienced "technical glitches, the Times reported.
On July 15 a plane en route to Armenia crashed in Iran, killing all 168 people aboard.
