After stage 7 of the Tour de France, Switzerland's Fabian Cancellara fell to 39th place, but it wasn't American Lance Armstrong who replaced him as the leader.
That distinction, along with the yellow jersey, went to Rinaldo Nocentini of Italy, who is trailed by Spaniard Alberto Contador, winner of the 2007 Tour de France, by a mere 6 seconds, with the now third-place Armstrong behind the leader by 8 seconds.
