American Idol runner-up Clay Aiken might have a problem with fellow runner-up Adam Lambert, but Season 7 runner-up David Archuleta sure doesn't.
In an interview with Rolling Stone Magazine posted on MTV.com, wildly popular Archuleta praises Lambert for his brave and gutsy performances on the show.
Archuleta, Lambert, Aiken and Chris Daughtry are among the hit television show's most successful and famous contestants who did not win. Aiken a few weeks ago slammed Lambert's over-the-top dramatic performances and high-vocal range. Lambert fought back and suggested that Aiken was only trying to gain headlines off of Lambert's success.
But Archuleta, who became a huge star with his version of John Lennon's "Imagine," says Lambert, who will appear on ABC's 20/20 on Friday night, is a good guy and that he has a lot of respect for him.
According to the MTV report, Lambert was "really cool" when the singers met at a recent "Idol" performance.
"He seems really confident when he's onstage, but I don't think it comes across as cocky or anything," Archuleta said in the report. "And when I talked to him, it seemed like he was appreciating everything that was going on, and he was really grateful for those opportunities that he had."
