Just hours after Susan Boyle graciously accepted her second place finish to the dance group Diversity on Britain's Got Talent, the 48-year-old YouTube sensation was admitted into the Priory Clinic after suffering an emotional meltdown, reported The Improper.
Police officers were reportedly called to her hotel room on the night of May 31 after Boyle through a temper tantrum, cursing at unidentified hotel guests. According to Star Magazine the Priory Clinic specializes in mental health disorders and has been visited by other stars including Kate Moss and Pete Doherty. Although it is still unclear why Boyle became unstable, a spokesperson for Britain's got Talent said that she was simply "exhausted and emotionally drained."
Boyle first became famous when she appeared on the talent competition in April 2009 and shocked audiences by her singing performance of "I Dreamed a Dream" from the play Les Miserables. The Improper reported that she is scheduled to record an album with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra and there are talks of a book deal as well as a possible movie highlighting her life and her rise to stardom.
