Lawyer Gloria Allred made an appearance on the Today Show on March 25, claiming that "Octomom" Nadya Suleman only gives her children attention when the cameras are rolling, and prioritizes a newly purchased Jacuzzi more than her children's safety. But this is hardly the first salvo fired between the two women. At Suleman's request, a nanny called 911 on March 17 after Allred refused to leave the Octomom's home, despite being asked to leave multiple times.
Both Allred and Suleman have recently taken a lot of heat. Allred has been accused by multiple media outlets as being an attention seeker and Suleman is in the spotlight after she fired four nurses provided for free by Angels in Waitingon March 23.
Allred and Suleman were originally paired by daytime TV host Dr. Phil McGraw, who gave the Octomom cribs, house upgrades, and nursing care, which was voluntarily provided for by Angels in Waiting. Despite now appearing as antagonists in the public eye, all parties are scheduled to appear on the Dr. Phil program today to set the record straight. Allred and Suleman's attorney, Jeff Czech, will appear in person, while Suleman herself will join via telephone. In a partial transcript available online, teasing today's episode, Czech indicates that he believes Allred was the main reason that Suleman and the Angels nurses could not make it work. According to the Web site, Czech told Allred " . . . as a result of your negativism, as a result of your complaints, as a result of your hogging the media, trying to get in the limelight, quite frankly, Gloria, you are the reason that Angels in Waiting didn't succeed in this situation."
