Any doubt that Tiger Woods has had an extra-marital affair seems to have been laid to rest by US magazine, which today posted a panicked voice mail supposedly from Woods to 24-year-old Jaimee Grubbs, in which the man says his wife may soon be calling her.
Meanwhile, news of yet another mistress surfaced today in Life & Style magazine, and Woods today expressed deep apologies to his fans and family on his Web site for "transgressions," though he did not address specifics.
The voice mail to Grubbs was recorded on Nov. 24 -- three days before Woods' infamous single-vehicle SUV crash, which many speculate was preceded by a fight between Woods and his wife of five years, Elin Nordegren, over alleged affairs.
"Hey, it's Tiger," the man says on the voice mail. "I need you to do me a huge favor. Can you please take your name off your phone? My wife went through my phone and may be calling you. So if you can, please take your name off that. Just have it as a number on the voice mail. You got to do this for me. Huge. Quickly. Bye."
Grubbs, a Los Angeles cocktail waitress, came to US magazine earlier this week with the voice mail recordings, saying she and the golf legend had a two-and-a-half-year fling beginning in April of 2007.
Grubbs also offered the celebrity magazine a statistic, saying she and Woods had 20 sexual encounters.
In addition she gave the publication hundreds of text messages, some of them tawdry. In one of them, Woods allegedly says: "I will wear you out..."
Life & Style reported that the other mistress is Kalika Moquin,a marketing manager for The Bank nightclub in Las Vegas. Unlike Grubbs, Moquin did not comment on the alleged affair, saying "It's not appropriate for me to comment one way or the other. ... At this time, I'm just choosing to focus on my job."
But the magazine reported an "inside" source said they hooked up in Las Vegas as late as Oct. 23.
In his apology, Woods wrote that he has let his family down.
"I regret those transgressions with all of my heart," he said. "I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone."
Woods also vehemently denied the tabloid rumors that his bruises and scrapes may have been caused by his wife, and not the accident.
"The stories in particular that physical violence played any role in the car accident were utterly false and malicious," he wrote. "Elin has always done more to support our family and shown more grace than anyone could possibly expect."
