'Desperate Housewives' Star Eva Longoria Parker Honored

Actress Eva Longoria Parker has been named Philanthropist of the year by The Hollywood Reporter.

Longoria Parker was honored for her work with Eva's Heroes, a nonprofit group that provides after school program for individuals with developmental disabilities.

The "Desperate Housewives" star also is the national spokeswoman for Padres Contra El Cancer (Parents Against Cancer), a nonprofit that helps Latino children with cancer.
