Amid false internet rumors that Brock Lesnar is dead, the cloud of mystery surrounding UFC champion Brock Lesnar continues after UFC president Dana White said on Tuesday that Lesnar underwent "minor surgery."
"Brock had minor surgery and is feeling better. Not 100% sure he is out of the woods but feeling better," White tweeted.
Lesnar is rumored to have a serious intestinal tract infection, so devastating that it could end his brief UFC career. Lesnar pulled out of his November fight with Shane Carwin and a return to action is still unknown.
Lesnar, the former WWE champion, has helped boost UFC into a lucrative, multimillion-dollar enterprise. A UFC without Lesnar could have serious financial implications for the Las Vegas-based mixed martial arts company, which is facing serious competition from the San Jose-based group Strikeforce, which recently signed top star Fedor Emelianenko.
