The College of Business at The University of Texas at San Antonio is one of the 40 largest schools of business in the United States with over 6,000 students. The College's innovative Flex MBA program was ranked #3 in the Southwest and #26 in the nation by BusinessWeek in 2007. Additional MBA accolades include being named one of the top 10 MBA programs for minority students by the Princeton Review for the past three years and receiving the Brillante Award for Educational Excellence from the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) in 2006.
Located in the seventh largest city in the nation, UTSA's College of Business has a longstanding tradition of providing both first generation and minority students with high quality academic programs and student services. The College boasts a diverse student body and faculty. Over 20 percent of full-time MBA students and more than 10 percent of faculty are Hispanic. Small class sizes ensure that students receive one-on-one faculty interactions and enhanced networking with their peers.
The UTSA College of Business has developed a strong partnership with NSHMBA at the local and national levels providing students with scholarships as well as career and professional development opportunities through local and national events. Graduate students have received internships or placements at prestigious organizations including Citi, Clear Channel Communications, Dell, Ernst & Young, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, Shell Energy, and the U.S. Department of Treasury.
Recognized for delivering "Knowledge for a New World," the College of Business offers a comprehensive business curriculum at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels. Graduate offerings include an innovative Flex MBA program, an Executive MBA program, an International MBA, a Noon MBA program and an Online MBA offered through the UT System Consortium. More than 20 different MBA concentrations capitalize on the college's comparative advantages in the areas of globalization/cultural pluralism, security, capital markets, transformational leadership/entrepreneurship and health/technology.
The College of Business is accredited by AACSB International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. This accreditation addresses curriculum issues, credentials of professors, student to teacher ratio issues and educational resources. The College is a member of the European Foundation for Management Development, the Latin American Council of Management Schools (CLADEA) and the Business Association of Latin American Studies, which is headquartered in the UTSA College of Business.
