UTEP MBA students live, study, and work within the largest metropolitan area on the U.S./Mexico border and the largest bi-national community in the Western hemisphere. The El Paso area boasts of almost five decades of expertise in manufacturing, logistics, and international commerce and finance. The region is also experiencing unprecedented growth in the medical and defense-related industries. This multi-lingual, binational backdrop allows our MBA students to interface with:
faculty members with strong research in international business and trade, as well as significant industry experience;
a diverse student body that is drawn from a multitude of national, cultural, and professional backgrounds;
real world, strategic perspectives on the ever-changing dynamics of global markets; and
an entrepreneurial, resourceful, and collaborative community.
The UTEP MBA Program's regional and international recruitment efforts have attracted students from throughout the Southwest and Latin America. Our large contingent of Hispanic and bilingual faculty and staff provide our students with strong advising and academic support.
UTEP College of Business students are engaged in twenty-two professional organizations that focus on entrepreneurship, economics, accounting, finance, information systems, logistics, marketing, and supply-chain management. In addition, the mission of our organizations and the College is to serve our borderplex community. One recent highlight is the success of our Hispanic Student Business Association (HBSA) Chapter, which holds the distinct honor of hosting the National HBSA Conference in Las Vegas this fall. See you there!
