Raul Alarcon Sr., Founder of Spanish Broadcasting System, Dies at 82

According to published reports, (Pablo) Raul Alarcon, Sr., founder and Chairman Emeritus of Spanish Broadcasting System, died yesterday at the age of 82.

The father of current CEO/Chairman Raul Alarcon, Jr., Alarcón Sr. was involved in Spanish-language radio broadcasting since the early 1950s. He served as SBS' Chairman of the board of directors from March 1983 until November 1999.
