Bailout Bill Passes in the Senate

Senate Bailout Vote

The U.S. Senate approved a revised version of the bailout bill, authorizing the U.S. goverment to intervene in the financial markets with a propose $700 billion rescue plan. The bill received 74 "yea" versus 25 "nay" votes.

The bill is heading to the U.S House for a another vote again this Friday. The House of Representatives voted against an earlier version of this bill on Monday.
