Univision Beating ABC and ESPN2 for World Cup Audiences in Key Demos

Breaking All Previous World Cup Records by Double and Triple Digits

Miami, FL--(HISPANIC PR WIRE)--June 15, 2006--(NYSE: UVN) – In the first 14 of 64 matches of the FIFA World Cup 2006(TM) tournament, Univision, the championship’s official Spanish-language television network, has outdelivered English-language networks ABC and ESPN2 by +11%, averaging 2.3 million Persons 2+.

According to Nielsen’s National Television Index (NTI), Univision also averaged 1.4 million Adult 18-49 viewers versus ABC/ESPN2’s 1.2 million for an +18% advantage. Among Kids 2-11 and Teens 12-17, Univision held the advantage over ESPN2 by +57% and +20%, respectively.

In addition, Univision’s record-breaking telecast of last Sunday’s Mexico versus Iran match was also the #1 Weekend Daytime program (Saturday/Sunday 7am-7pm) among Men, Women and Adults 18-34 among all networks. It was also the #2 sports telecast for the entire weekend among Men and Adults 18-34, behind only ABC’s primetime coverage of the second NBA Finals Game.

Univision will carry live coverage of 56 games, including the final championship match, and sister network TeleFutura will broadcast 8 live games. All games will be rebroadcast during primetime on either TeleFutura or the Galavisión cable network.
