NEW YORK, Jan. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Gaming and hospitality industry managers, operating in or planning to expand into the Caribbean and Latin America regions, will explore both high- and low-tech ways to maximize revenues at the seventh annual Caribbean Gaming & Hospitality Conference (CGHC), scheduled for June 14-15 at the Caribe Hilton Hotel, San Juan, PR. The Conference and business expo is the only event of its kind for gaming and hospitality operators in the Caribbean as well as Central and South America.
This year's program will identify ways that operators can apply technology, as well as creative management skills, to the revenue function for maximum return. With the region posting another year of positive economic indicators, experts predict increased competition in all aspects of the casino and hospitality business. Thus, finding ways to create and expand revenues will be the key to success.
"Maximizing revenue isn't just treating the casino patron or hotel guest like royalty for repeat business or a referral," says Bruce R. Smith, conference founder and president of WestVille Enterprises, Inc. "It's building top-to-bottom efficiency into every aspect of the operation. So this year's conference will present the strategies and tools to achieve this very big but necessary goal."
This year's topics include revenue-based project management (setting and managing expectations; defining and managing the plan; resource management; timeline management; and team coordination and communication); the principle of Total Resort Revenue based on calculating yield and enterprise value; and raising occupancy through direct marketing. Other sessions include:
* Tapping the enormous popularity of poker * The revenue upside of downloable games * Slot scams and how to prevent them
According to Bruce R. Smith, CGHC celebrates its seventh consecutive year with a significant upturn in attendees, exhibitors, and advertisers. "Our loyal sponsors are responsible for much of the Conference's success," he says. "We are indebted to them for their support and encouragement." For the sixth year in a row, Aristocrat Technologies Inc., Las Vegas, NV, is CGHC's Platinum Sponsor. A.C. Coin & Slot Service Company, Pleasantville, NJ, and UNIDESA Gaming, Barcelona, Spain, are returning as Gold Sponsors. Silver Sponsors include Ainsworth Game Technology; Newington, New South Wales, Australia; Puerto Rico Tourism Company, San Juan, PR; and WMS Gaming, Las Vegas, NV.
The conference program will feature educational seminars each morning, offered with simultaneous English-Spanish translation. The afternoon is reserved for product and service presentations in the Exhibit Hall and for hospitality receptions.
