MIAMI FL – Terra.com, the U.S. Hispanic Internet portal of the Terra network of sites, has been selected by the Latin Recording Academy to host the official site for the 5th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards -- airing live from L.A.'s Shrine Auditorium on September 1, 2004 on CBS. The interactive site is managed and powered exclusively by Terra.com.
Latin music fans across the country can get exclusive information and see photos of this year's awards by logging on to http://www.LatinGRAMMY.terra.com.
In addition to online sponsorships, the Terra.com Latin GRAMMY sponsorship packages include the opportunity to incorporate off-line promotional opportunities, sampling, signage at events, and coupons and other giveaways at street parties in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago and Houston. Terra's co-branded, multi-level advertising/sponsorship packages include top-of-the-line options that include tickets to Latin GRAMMY events for corporate executives, the possibility of an exclusive invitation to the 5th Annual Latin GRAMMY nominees press conference, and more.
"With more and more Hispanics having access to broadband Internet connections at work and school, Hispanics enjoy a rich internet experience and the advertiser has an opportunity to use emotive, commercial-like ad campaigns," said Manuel Bellod, CEO at Terra.com. "Through our official partnership with the Latin Recording Academy, we are able to offer advertisers a unique approach to reaching consumers, through both our online and offline sponsorship opportunities."
The fully integrated, interactive site will not only contain exclusive editorial content, but will also include promotions, bios on nominees, photo galleries, fan forums, exclusive information on the rehearsals, official wallpapers and screensavers, games, a calendar of events, multimedia players on Terra radio and Terra video, and registration for VIP access to pre and post parties with the artists.
One promotion, called "An Evening with the Stars," allows users to name their personal selection of who they think will win the Latin GRAMMY Awards. Voters will automatically be entered into a sweepstakes to win an all-expense paid trip for two to the Latin GRAMMY Awards, complete with VIP access and red carpet walk. Other winners will be selected to receive official Latin GRAMMY memorabilia.
The Latin GRAMMY site is advertised throughout the Terra portal and in 15 second spots airing on Telemundo in order to drive targeted potential visitors and new traffic to the site.
