All Ohio Trade Fair Slated for Akron

PR Newswire

CLEVELAND, May 18 /PRNewswire/ -- The Ohio Assembly of Councils is hosting the 2004 All Ohio Trade Fair Conference and Expo June 7-9 in Akron, Ohio. The three-day event will kick off with the All Ohio Trade Fair Golf Classic at the Silver Lake Country Club on June 7. The Conference and Expo will be held at the John S. Knight Center, 77 East Mill St., June 8-9.

Held in a different Ohio city each year, the All Ohio Trade Fair is the largest minority business trade fair in the state and is expected to draw more than 1,000 participants and attendees. The event was held in Columbus last year and in Cleveland in 2002.

"The All Ohio Trade Fair presents attendees with outstanding opportunities," said Wyatt Brownlee, executive director of the Northern Ohio Minority Business Council (NOMBC). "With networking, educational events, the trade show and more, past attendees have found that they can do more for their businesses in the three days of the event than they could during a regular work week."

The conference and expo assists minority entrepreneurs and corporate members in making key business contacts. The event features a minority business trade show with approximately 200 exhibitors, an awards luncheon, several professional seminars and forums, and a golf outing.

Buyers seeking quality goods and services at competitive prices, or minority entrepreneurs seeking to market to hundreds of buyers are invited to attend this unique event.

"Each year, this event brings together hundreds of businesses, and produces substantial deals made either on the spot or as a direct result of the Trade Fair," said Cathy Mock, president of the South Central Ohio Minority Business Council (SCOMBC). "This is the premier event for minority business enterprises and corporations looking to broaden their supply and purchasing pools."

The fair is presented by the NOMBC and the SCOMBC, which comprise the Ohio Assembly of Councils. Presenting sponsors for the 2004 All Ohio Trade Fair Conference and Expo include Eaton Corporation, FirstEnergy Corporation, Honda of America, The Procter & Gamble Company and the Ohio Department of Development.
