Businesswoman and philanthropist Linda Alvarado was among the dozen inducted into the National Women's Hall of Fame in early October 2003. As CEO of the Denver-based commercial general contracting firm that bears her name, Alvarado handles multimillion-dollar construction projects. The firm has participated in major local projects including the Colorado Convention Center, Denver International Airport, and the new home of the Denver Broncos. She sits on the board of Qwest Communications, the Pepsi Bottling Group, 3M, Pitney Bowes, and Lennox International. She is co-owner of the Colorado Rockies, a major-league baseball team.
Ralph Alvarez

McDonald's USA
Mr. Alvarez is the chief operations officer for McDonald's USA. Before his recent promotion, he was president of the Central Division for McDonald's USA. Mr. Alvarez was responsible for nearly 4,300 restaurants in the central United States. Mr. Alvarez has previously served as president of McDonald's Mexico. Prior to that he served as regional director for Chipotle Mexican Grill, one of McDonald's Partner Brands. Before his role at Chipotle, Mr. Alvarez worked as regional vice-president for the Sacramento region. Mr. Alvarez joined McDonald's in 1994 after a lengthy career in the quick-service restaurant industry working for Burger King Corporation and Wendy's International Inc. From 1977-89, Mr. Alvarez worked for Burger King where he held a variety of positions including managing director of Burger King Spain, president of Burger King Canada, and regional vice-president for the Florida region. While at Wendy's from 1990-94, he served as both a corporate vice-president and as the division vice-president in Florida. Mr. Alvarez earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Miami in Florida where he graduated cum laude.
Ramon Baez
Chief Information Officer, Automation and Control Systems

Mr. Baez is the CIO and vice-president of information technology for Honeywell's Automation and Control Solution's (ACS) business headquartered in Minneapolis. An $8-billion business, ACS is a world leader in the supply of control products, sensors, switches, automation systems, services, and advanced solutions to a broad range of industries. The business provides application solutions for temperature, fire, security, and process control to improve safety, comfort, and efficiency in homes, buildings, and industrial operations. Mr. Baez joined Honeywell International in June of 2002 after a 25-year career at Northrop Grumman. Prior to his current assignment, he was the CIO for Northrop Grumman's Electronic Sensors and Systems Sector headquartered in Linthicum, Maryland. Mr. Baez joined Northrop Grumman in 1977, and has held a number of key positions within the Northrop Grumman management structure with extensive experience in the development and implementation of information systems, process management, program integration, configuration and data management, software product assurance, and manufacturing.
