Key Advantages: The only real competitor is Kinko's which are all company-owned. Copy Club's are all owner-operated, which makes a real difference with regard to dependability, accuracy and customer service. The center starts off with a full time outside sales representative who is trained to use an exclusive proven "system" as part of the initial package.

Investment: Suggested minimum start up cash required: $105,000. Total investment $418,600 to $520,250. Franchisor provides interest free loan on $20,000 of the franchise fee, no amortization, repayment based on 1% of sales up to $25,000 per month then 2% of sales over $25,000 per month. Incentives offered to forgive portions of principal due.

Royalty: 7% with royalty cap when fees paid on time, no advertising fees

Training: 1 week in the field pre-training, 3-1/2 weeks of classroom training, 5 on-site trainer visits, 3 days of employee impact training at start-up. Lodging, continental breakfast and lunch provided weekdays during initial training. Ongoing workshops and conferences provided.

Special Franchisee Experience Requirements: Typically coming from senior corporate management, people interaction skills, easy to get along with personality. Willing to get involved and be active in the outside selling process in support of the outside sales representative.

Pre-Opening: Market analysis, assistance with site research (2-day visit to market to review with owner is included), review of business lease with recommendations made, space planning floorplan layout prepared, and assistance with securing financing using a loan packager and introduction to lenders that we have a relationship with. 3-4 day visit to your center to set-up the store, get equipment set up and talking to one another, assistance recruiting, qualifying, hiring an outside sales rep and other staff in the store. Training at our campus in Cypress for your outside sales rep at our next Direct Sales Training class (airfare and lodging included).

Opening: Teleappointment program to set appointments for outside sales rep, 3 mailings to 3,000 local businesses, and blitz of 500 businesses surrounding the store. 4 to 5 days training your staff in your center regarding workflow, customer service and operational procedures, working out any challenges, 2 to 3 day visit to store to manage Sales Blitz, $300 a month reimbursement to have a CPA to prepare financial statements for your first six months.

Ongoing: 3-day visit after being open 6 weeks and another 2 day visit after being open 4 months. First year subscription to creative artwork for marketing program. Workshops and seminars at our 117-acre campus are going on monthly. Toll free support line, intranet to connect to database of resources and vendors. Review and analysis of financial statements, batch purchasing, annual conference with trade show, owner focus groups, technical support, evaluation of new equipment, computer support, monthly Action Call from our support staff and much more. Turnkey direct mail and mailing list services provided for a fee after initial opening services have been provided.

Location: High visibility, high traffic, well lit. Office/commercial area, near high end to high/mid range residential area. Plenty of parking, easy in and out of the parking area, good signage available. Lots of windows in customer area desirable. Professional, clean, well-maintained building.
